At Dedicated Networks, we are committed to promoting sustainability by offering refurbished networking equipment solutions that promote the circular economy. As a socially responsible company, we help protect the environment and support our local community. We take pride in partnering with local initiatives that make a positive impact in the areas where we live and work.
Environmental Impact
We are proud to promote sustainability through the refurbishment and sale of pre-owned networking equipment that extends its useful life and reduces e-waste. The circular economy model we follow goes beyond the traditional take-make-waste model and ensures our networking equipment goes through five phases: manufacturing, buying and selling, using, refurbishing, and responsible disposal. In 2022, we prevented over 600,000 pieces of used networking equipment from entering landfills, refurbished over 400,000 pieces, and recycled over 600,000 pounds of equipment in a responsible manner through our R2-certified recycling partner.
In addition to our sustainable business model, we also participate in local environmental initiatives. On Earth Day, we mobilized to remove hundreds of pounds of trash from the 610 Junction business park. During Arbor Day, our volunteers planted trees on and around our campus, which are essential for the environment and our quality of life as they help regulate the climate, provide oxygen, reduce air pollution, protect soil, and provide habitat for wildlife.
We’re committed to promoting sustainability through our business model and active participation in local environmental initiatives. We believe that these efforts not only benefit the earth but also have a positive impact on our team and the community we serve.
Community Impact
We are fortunate to call Ramsey, Minnesota our home. Since outgrowing our founder’s home in 2009, we’ve built an invaluable partnership with the local community, and we strive to show our appreciation by giving back whenever possible. Last year, we contributed to the community in several ways, including:
- Supporting the City of Ramsey’s Draw Summer Concert Series in July by providing a giant waterslide for attendees to enjoy.
- Sponsoring the annual Tee It Up for the Troops golf fundraiser in August, which supports combat veterans and their families.
- Hosting a food drive for the Anoka County Brotherhood Council’s – ABC Food Shelf in November. Our caring employees raised $350 and donated 240 pounds of food.
- Adopting a family of 11 in December, in conjunction with PACT Charter School’s National Honor Society, to spread cheer during the Christmas season.
- Participating in the 29th annual holiday drive for Gifts for Seniors, a community collaboration that provides more than 6,350 gifts for the holidays.
We also care about our global community and are proud to have contributed to causes that have a wider impact. In November, our team members volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, an organization that packs food designed to assist children across the world who suffer from undernutrition. Our team packed 792 meals, enough to feed two children for an entire year. For the second year, we held a Movember event to raise awareness about men’s physical and mental health issues; multiple employees grew mustaches and donated to the cause. We also hosted two blood drives on our campus in partnership with Memorial Blood Centers, allowing our employees to donate blood. These blood drives collected 51 pints of blood, saving 152 lives.
We believe that by contributing to the community, we can make a positive impact on the world around us. We look forward to continuing to find new ways to give back to our community and beyond.
We are proud to be a business that cares about the environment and our community, and we look forward to continuing to make a positive contribution in the years to come. By understanding the effects of our individual and combined actions, we can make informed choices for the well-being of our planet and neighborhoods. Together we can make a difference and create a better future for everyone.
